My grandfather's company made food products for General Mills and its own ingredient blends, and sold branded goods under the family name — like Brookema's Dutch Process Breakfast Cocoa.
The business ran through a second generation and closed in the late 1990s. Rather than start something new under a different name, I chose to carry Brookema forward myself.
That heritage helped lead me to Clemson University's Packaging Science program and more than twenty years helping manufacturers solve complex packaging challenges — now combined with AI-assisted sourcing and modern platforms.
